SWANN PRODUCTS RATE HIGHLY IN NEW ZEALAND June 1, 2006 The New Zealand product review website KIWIreview.co.nz has recently reviewed 3 products from the Swann range. The Swann PCI TV Tuner Card, the Ultimate card reader and the Max-IP-Cam Network Camera all received high ratings. The Swann PCI TV Tuner Card was noted as being 'quite simply one of the easiest TV Tuner and video capture cards I have ever set up.' The reviewer commented on the TV Tuner's ease of use 'just plug it in, run the installation off the CD, plug in the aerial, run the tuner software, run the tuner software, and scan for some TV stations'. The TV Tuner card received a top rating for the Installation and setup component of the review. The product overall received a product score of 9 out of 10.   The Ultimate Card Reader also received a good review. This 'stylish' card reader 'supports all current memory cards'. Once again, the 'plug and play' feature of the product was highlighted, "installation is a snap, just plug it in and off you go". Being USB 2.0, the card reader withstood the reviewer's test, with high transfer rates from a HDD to a XD Memory Card. The Ultimate card reader received a product score of 9.5 out of a possible 10.   The final product reviewed was of the Swann Max-IP-Cam. The reviewer expressed some surprise at the fact that the camera "contained an integrated SD card, allowing you to save snapshots and motion-triggered movie clips, even if there is no PC attached!" "The quality of images is highly tunable, using onboard controls" commented the reviewer. The NTP (Atomic Clock synchronisation facility) was a feature the reviewer highly regarded. "It removes the worry and hassle of inaccurate timestamps on any saved images and movie clips" he noted. In his conclusion, the reviewer noted on the automatic night vision mode of the camera, outlining numerous applications that the Max-IP-Cam would be best used in eg. commercial or retail. The Max-IP-Cam received a high score of 9.8 out of 10.
