ANNUAL DICK SMITH ELECTRONICS CONFERENCE 'OUT OF THIS WORLD'

This year's annual Dick Smith Conference was held at Darling Harbour in Sydney with a theme promoting ‘Out of this World’ technology. The conference brought together delegates, area and store managers from within the DSE, Powerhouse and Tandy store network across Australia and New Zealand. Swann was one of four Platinum sponsors at the conference, alongside Telstra, HP and Sony. Training and information sessions were conducted by Platinum sponsors and Swann Sales Manager, Rick Phelps, presented to 7 conference rooms of 60 delegates on Swann, the security category and future opportunities for the businesses.

The conference also featured display stands for suppliers. The Swann 'Secure your Space' stand showcased a security DVD, quad view of 4 working CCTV cameras, and numerous other products. Attendees were able to go in the draw for a DVR4-Net and 4 Camera Pack if they correctly answered 10 quiz questions on Swann. The prize was won by Matthew Weier, Store Manager of DSE Caloundra. Swann’s new CEO Ron Lane presented to a breakfast of delegates and senior management on Swann, the partnership with DSE and the future of the security category. He stated Swann’s intention for Dick Smith: "We are looking forward to continuing the growth Swann and Dick Smith Electronics have shared in the last 12 months, over the next 3 years and beyond".
